This Wednesday, 16th October, we had the pleasure of welcoming three guest speakers for a wide-ranging conversation with members about how we prepare for a General Election. With an election getting increasingly likely, councillors Nicky Brennan and Olly Armstrong, and Regional Chair of Unite the Union, Asif Mohammed, were invited to add their voices to our discussion about making sure we’re ready.

We also gained the perspective of recently confirmed Labour candidate for West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster, but it was very much members who led a great 90 minutes of discussion. We hope to be involved in many similar events in the future after a successful evening.
